Went with Janee to have her motorhome serviced. She's getting it ready to leave for the summer. Boo Hoo, I'm so sad. I guess I'm about to find out how "what's his name" feels all Winter when she's not around.Took the new medicine this morning and have gone for most of the day, so far, without any pain. Maybe I can skip the next Doctor if this keeps up. We shall see.
GOOD NEWS?
Tuesday was Orthopaedic Surgeon day. Good news and bad news. Good news, there is nothing wrong with my bones or joints. Bad news, problem appears to be in my lower back. Nerve either pinched by or agitated by a disc. Next to see a Neurologist for evaluation after an MRI.

Home at Last
Left Arvada at 4:37 am today. Not much traffic on a Saturday morning. Clear skies and dry pavement. That is until I reached the Southern edge of Pueblo. From there South to past Raton, New Mexico it was one bare lane and one icy lane. Bunch of wimps wouldn't speed up and too many in line to try to pass. Added about an hour to the trip. Arrived at FHTV about 4:30 Tucson time. 13 long hours of driving. Better than 30 mpg. Not bad for doing 75+ most of the way. Drive to Denver and back was rather nice, because of the very low number of semi's on the road. Diesel price is ridiculous. Had dinner with Janee, then we went and had ice cream. Then home, her to hers and me to mine. Nighty nite.

SNOW
Thursday in Colorado. Started raining on Wednesday evening and turned to snow sometime during the night. Stopped snowing about 2:30 this afternoon. Total here about 4 inches. One more day and then head back home to Tucson. Looking forward to the heat and time with my friend (you know who) before she's gone for the summer.

Missed it by that much.
It's Tuesday morning and I'm doing Monday's blog. But that's ok. There wasn't anything exciting happening on Monday. Went to Target and Safeway, my how thrilling. Watched the NCAA championship game, what a bummer of an ending. MaryAnn's roommate, Sarah, got back from her business trip last night and slept on the couch. I'm using her, my old, bedroom for the week.
I need to get back to Tucson. Sounds like Janee needs someone to talk with. 5 more days and I'll be there.

Happy Birthday Max
The day started out with a little excitement. MaryAnn opened her bedroom door and out ran her cat, Mandy. Sam thought this was a chance to get some extra breakfast. Mandy ran into my room and hid under the bed. Stayed there all day. We then had to get ready for the big birthday party. Max turned 3 on Sunday. I had forgotten how noisy a bunch of 3 year old kids can be. I also had to drop off a package from Joe Doris to a lady on Denver's South side. Took 3 Advil tablets to help control the aches and pains. Then headed off to the fire station to feed the troops and finish up the leftovers from Saturday nights engagement party. 13 people at the original party and 10 at the fire station. Still had some food left over. The firefighters were quite happy to have some food that they did not have to cook. Woke up this morning to SNOW. I miss Tucson.

Family Time
Started the day by getting the convertible washed. It gathered a bit of dirt over the winter. Then to the bridal shop for an engagement party (tonight) present for Tim and Lynne. Later, I installed a new toilet for Mark. He's not the most mechanically inclined of my sons. Also, hooked up a handheld shower for him in the spare bathroom. Tonight we all went to the party and had a great time. Three of Lynne's friends from college were there with their husbands. Great food and libations. All paid for by one of the friends who is from California. The whole group of younger people then went to another bar for more relaxation. MaryAnn and I went back to her house and to bed. Separate rooms, of course.
Friday on Saturday
After 1 1/2 days of driving, I'm finally in Arvada. Last night MaryAnn and I went to dinner at Joe's Crabshack. Then off to Firehouse #1 to visit with Tim for a little while. Lynne showed up at the same time. Right after we arrived, the fire boys had to go on a first aid call. Drunken woman fell and split her head open. Back to MaryAnn's and watched a CD of Tim's last hockey game of the season. He scored his first goal, ever. They won a very defensive battle 7-6. Then bed time, seperate rooms of course.

What Happened to Wednesday?
Didn't have time to write on Wednesday. Had dinner with Janee when she got back from Patagonia and the wine tasting trip. Then she and I watched the usual Wednesday night TV (Wife Swap and The Nanny). Now it's Thursday afternoon and I'm in downtown Las Vegas. New Mexico that is. On my way to do family stuff and IRS stuff. Hope to get back to Tucson on the 13th.

Happy Tuesday
Good news, x-ray results were good news. Nothing wrong with the bones and joints. Continue with meds until gone in 8 more days. If no improvement, then it's MRI time. Another quiet day in Tucson. Weather is great, low 80's with a slight breeze. Pinochle tonight and then feed Janee's animals, watch the VCR shows and goodnight.
Monday on Tuesday Morning
Another beautiful day in Tucson with very little to do after a busy morning. Went to the Doctor's office to make an appointment and was lucky enough to be the first patient of the day. After a few minutes of turning and twisting my legs, I was given a stronger pain medicine. Which worked very well. Then sent off to have x-rays taken. I was hoping to have results in the afternoon, but didn't hear from their office. I also had to make an appointment with an Orthopaedic Surgeon. His business card made me a bit nervous "Adult Total Joint Reconstruction". No openings until April 15. Later I printed some forms for Janee (her printer was malfunctioning) and then we had dinner and went to Dairy Queen for dessert. Another good ending to a fine day.
